Fusion Lifestyle, the leading registered charity which provides quality sport, leisure and fitness activities to local communities across the country, today announced a £multi-million investment to upgrade facilities across their estate.
With a clear vision of making top class sport and fitness widely accessible and affordable, Fusion have reinvested £150 million in recent years into improving local community facilities, and are now commencing the next exciting phase of redevelopment with a £14million refurbishment programme in three key areas:-
Devon will see the greatest investment made, totalling £10million spend across all six sites, with Fusion´s Ivybridge centre near Plymouth receiving the major share. The centre will have a brand new 25m pool with retractable roof built, as well as an upgrade to the gym and fitness facilities, with classes and activities on offer for all the family.
A £2million investment has already taken place in Bedford. At Robinson Pools & Fitness a brand new extension has created 3 new exercise studios, including a dedicated INTENCITY HIIT Studio, a poolside changing village and refurbished `Bickels Yard´ café. Nearby, Bedford´s John Bunyan Sports & Fitness has also undergone an impressive refurbishment programme, now offering a new gym, indoor cycling studio and huge indoor soft play centre for kids.
In Southend, a £1.2million upgrade is underway to improve the gym and create new studios, including a bespoke INTENCITY HIIT training area, to compliment the Olympic standard diving and tennis facilities currently on offer. A new Bickels Yard Café offering nutritious, balanced refreshments is also being built.
Further investments are taking place across the Fusion portfolio, including Saltdean Lido due to open in May.
